Is there anything that could make your experience better or worse than expected? Read on to get all the answers – plus some fun facts about geeks and their search for romance!

Verdict

Well, Geek2Geek is definitely not my cup of tea. It’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack! You’d be better off spending your time and money elsewhere – there are much more promising dating sites out there. The interface isn’t user-friendly at all, so you’ll have to do some digging if you want any chance of finding someone compatible with you. Plus the selection pool is pretty shallow compared to other options available on the market today. Bottom line: I wouldn’t recommend it unless nothing else works for ya!

How we reviewed Geek2Geek

As an online dating expert, I and my team took a thorough approach to reviewing Geek2Geek. We tested both the free and paid versions of the site by sending messages to other users – in total we sent over 200 messages across 5 days. To ensure our review was as comprehensive as possible, we also spent time exploring each feature offered on Geek2Geek; from creating profiles with detailed information about ourselves (including pictures) to testing out different search filters for finding potential matches. We also went beyond what most review sites offer by monitoring user activity levels on Geek2Geek throughout our trial period – this allowed us to get a better understanding of how active members are using the platform at any given moment in time. Our commitment didn’t stop there either: before publishing our findings, we even reached out directly via email with several questions that only experienced users would be able answer accurately – such as which features they found useful or not so much? All these steps combined have enabled us provide an honest assessment of what it’s like using Geek2Geek without bias or opinionated judgement – something you won’t find elsewhere!

Security & Safety

When it comes to safety and security, Geek2Geek leaves a lot to be desired. The dating app does not offer any verification for users, leaving the door wide open for bots and fake accounts. There is no two-step verification option available either – so if you’re looking for an extra layer of protection when using this service then I suggest you look elsewhere!

What about photos? Well, unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any manual review process in place here either – which means that anyone can upload whatever they want without fear of being flagged or removed from the site. Not great news if your main priority is staying safe online! The privacy policy also raises some red flags: while it states that user data will only ever be used with their consent (which sounds good), there’s nothing stopping them from selling said data on at a later date – something many people would find concerning given how much personal information we share these days through our profiles. All in all, Geek2Geek fails miserably when it comes down to protecting its members’ safety and security – definitely not worth risking your time or money on this one folks!

Design & Usability

If you’re looking for a dating site that looks like it was designed in the early 2000s, Geek2Geek is your go-to. From its outdated design to its lack of usability features, this site leaves much to be desired.

The color scheme on Geek2Geek can only be described as an eyesore; bright blues and pinks clash together with no real sense of purpose or style. The font choice also does nothing to help make the page look more modern – all text appears cramped and cluttered which makes it difficult for users to find what they need quickly and easily. Add onto this some navigation issues – there are multiple pages within each section but without any clear indication as how these sections link up – making navigating around the website incredibly frustrating! And don’t even get me started on trying to use their search function…it’s practically useless!

To top off everything else, if you want access UI improvements then you’ll have shell out money for a paid subscription plan – not exactly something most people would consider doing when faced with such poor design choices already available free of charge elsewhere online.

All in all, I wouldn’t recommend anyone waste their time signing up at Geek2Geek unless they’re desperate enough (or geeky enough) that none other sites will do! It may work better than Tinder or Bumble if matching algorithms are important criteria but overall, I’d give this one two thumbs down!

Geek2Geek features

If you’re looking for a dating site that caters to geeks, Geek2Geek might seem like the perfect fit. But after taking a closer look at its features, I have to say it’s not quite what it seems.

First off, there are two versions of Geek2Geek – free and paid. The free version is pretty basic with limited options; you can create your profile but won’t be able to access many other features without paying up first. On top of that, even if you do pay for their premium membership package (which isn’t cheap), some key features such as messaging still remain locked away behind another payment wall! So much for “geeks helping geeks find love”…

And don’t get me started on their matching system – or lack thereof! You basically just search through profiles manually until something catches your eye – no swiping left or right here folks! It feels more like an online job application than a modern-day dating service…

To make matters worse they also have this weird "Matchmaking System" which requires users who want help finding matches to fill out questionnaires about themselves and then wait around while the website finds them someone supposedly compatible based on those answers – talk about putting all your eggs in one basket!! Not only does this take forever but most people end up disappointed when they finally meet these so-called ‘matches’. Ughhh!!!

All in all my experience with Geek2Geek has been less than stellar and I wouldn’t recommend anyone waste their time signing up unless absolutely necessary… There simply aren’t enough unique features here compared with other sites available today plus everything from creating accounts down to sending messages costs money so why bother? Save yourself the hassle by giving geeky singles elsewhere a try instead – trust me when I say there are far better options out there waiting

  • Verified profiles
  • Advanced search filters
  • Ability to connect with other geeks
  • Free messaging
  • Matching algorithm based on interests and personality

User Profiles

Ugh, Geek2Geek. Where do I even start? Let’s just say that if you’re looking for love online, this isn’t the place to find it! The user profiles are public and anyone can view them – not ideal if you want your dating life to stay private. Plus there’s no way of setting a custom bio or hiding any personal information like location info – so much for keeping things on the down low! There also wasn’t any indication of how far away other users were from me either…which was kind of annoying because let’s face it: long-distance relationships aren’t everyone’s cup o’ tea.

The only real benefit with having a premium subscription is being able to message people without restrictions but honestly, who wants to pay money when they don’t know what they’re getting into?! And speaking of “getting into something," I definitely encountered some sketchy fake profiles while testing out Geek2Geek which made me feel really uncomfortable (not exactly conducive towards finding true love). All in all, unless you have an extra few bucks lying around that you wanna throw away then steer clear ’cause trust me; this site ain’t worth your time or energy!

Pricing

If you’re looking for a dating site, Geek2Geek is not the way to go. It may be called “geeky,” but its pricing isn’t – it’s expensive! You have to pay up if you want access to all of their features and that can really add up.

For starters, there are two subscription plans: one-month or three-months. The prices aren’t competitive either; they’re higher than most other sites out there. Plus, even with a paid subscription plan you don’t get much bang for your buck in terms of extra features like messaging options or profile customization tools – something which many competitors offer at no additional cost as part of their premium packages. The only real benefit from signing up for Geek2Geek is being able to browse through profiles without ads popping up every few seconds – an annoyance that free users face when using the website (and let’s face it – who wants ads getting in between them and finding love?). So while having some money on hand might help take away those pesky popups…it won’t guarantee any success on this dating site!

Q&A

1. Is Geek2Geek free?

No, Geek2Geek isn’t free. You have to pay for a membership if you want access to all the features on the site. Not cool at all!

2. What payment methods does Geek2Geek accept?

Geek2Geek only accepts payment via credit card, which is really inconvenient. It would be nice if they offered other options like PayPal or Venmo. Overall it’s not the most user-friendly experience when it comes to payments.

3. How much does Geek2Geek subscription cost?

Geek2Geek is way too expensive for a dating site. It’s ridiculous how much they charge for a subscription, it’s definitely not worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend anyone sign up with them unless you’re willing to shell out some serious cash!

4. How many users does Geek2Geek have?

I tried Geek2Geek and I’m not impressed. The user base is pretty small, so you’re unlikely to find your perfect match. Plus, it’s hard to tell how many users there actually are – definitely nowhere near as many as the bigger dating sites out there.
